This exhibition catalog will provide you with all of the background information of the history of Italian fashion from 1945. You will lean about the times, the mills, the craft, the advertising, and the people involved. I learned a lot even though there were so many names thrown out at me they all started to blur together. There are many essays about the business of fashion and the people who produced fabrics and their use. There are also short spotlights on a few of the lesser know designers, editors, materials, and fabric producers. While there is some recent photography of fashion, most of the photographs are of ad campaigns. We are not provided with an index of what was exhibited in the show. . I only wanted more glamour.
